TYPES OF KNEE PROTECTORS:
Knee protectors that are independent of other clothing and fastened around the leg.
Foam plastic or other padding material that is placed in pockets on trouser legs, or permanently attached to trousers.
Knee protectors that are not attached to the body, but stay in place as the user moves around.
Knee protectors for one or both knees, which are parts of devices with additional functions such as a frame to make it easier to stand up, or a kneeling seat.
There are three different performance levels.
Knee protectors suitable only for use on flat floor surfaces. No protection against penetration.
Knee protectors suitable for use on flat or non-flat floor surfaces. Provide protection against penetration at a force of at least 100 ±5 N.
Knee protectors suitable for use on flat or non-flat floor surfaces under tough conditions. Provide protection against penetration at a force of at least 250 ±10 N.
The use of knee protectors does not guarantee full protection against injury. It is not recommended to kneel on knee protectors for more than one hour at a time. If users experience swelling of the knees or legs during kneeling work, seek medical attention.
