Our ambitions to reach
UNs Sustainable Development Goals
Wenaas is committed to responsible and sustainable business conduct in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The SDGs represent a shared global framework for addressing some of the most pressing challenges of our time, including inequality, climate change, and responsible use of resources. For Wenaas, they provide a common language and direction for how we work with sustainability across our operations and value chain.
By integrating the SDGs into our ESG strategy, supplier requirements, and reporting practices, we aim to create transparency around where we can make a difference and how progress is measured. Through this approach, we seek to inspire sustainable choices and contribute value to customers, employees, suppliers, and partners, while supporting a more responsible and resilient workwear industry.
Reducing Environmental Impact Across the Value Chain
Within the environmental dimension, our focus is on clean energy, responsible consumption and production, and climate action. This includes how energy is used in production, how materials are selected and certified, how chemicals are managed, and how products are designed for durability and circularity.
On the environmental side, our ambition is to reduce our footprint by addressing impact early in the product lifecycle, where the greatest effect can be achieved. This includes improving energy efficiency, increasing the use of certified and lower-impact materials, strengthening traceability, and supporting circular solutions that extend product life. By combining product design principles, recognized certifications, and close supplier collaboration, we aim to reduce emissions, waste, and pollution while maintaining the high safety and quality standards our customers depend on. These efforts support our commitments related to clean energy, responsible production, and climate action, including our long-term climate ambitions.
Decent Work, Equality, and Inclusion
Socially, we focus on gender equality, decent work, and reduced inequalities, both within our own organization and throughout our supply chain. Wenaas’ ambition is to promote decent work, equality, and inclusion throughout our operations and supply chain. We expect respect for human and labor rights, non-discrimination, and safe working conditions to be upheld by everyone we work with.
Through our Code of Conduct, responsible business guidelines, and structured follow-up with suppliers, we work systematically to identify risks, support improvement, and address non-compliance where necessary. Gender equality and reduced inequalities are treated as ongoing learning processes, requiring transparency, dialogue, and continuous improvement rather than one-time solutions.
Responsible Business Conduct and Partnerships
From a governance perspective, partnerships play a key role in how we work, as progress on sustainability depends on collaboration across companies, industries, and countries.
Strong governance and partnerships are essential to achieving our ambitions. Wenaas believes that lasting progress depends on collaboration with suppliers, customers, industry initiatives, and civil society. By aligning with international frameworks such as the UN Guiding Principles, OECD Due Diligence Guidelines, and the SDGs, and by reporting transparently on our ESG performance, we seek to contribute to shared learning and measurable progress across the industry. Partnerships enable us to move faster, address complex challenges, and ensure that sustainability efforts extend beyond our own organization.
