Safety helmets for industry require that they be designed to protect the wearer from falling objects, protection against penetration by sharp objects and flame resistance. A helmet may also meet the following non-mandatory requirements:

  • Very low temperatures (–20 °C or –30 °C)
  • Very high temperatures (+150 °C)
  • Electrical insulation (440 V) Molten metal (MM)
  • Lateral stiffness/Lateral deformation (LD)
