In Aberdeen, Wenaas UK manages an evacuation kit bag service. The service is funded by an annual subscription fee, paid for by Oil and Gas companies. Who operate within the northern United Kingdom Continental Shelf (UKCS) and west of Shetland. This service first started back in 2009, As a mutual aid evacuation kit bag service and was established by Response Consultants.

The service has vastly improved the resilience of operators in meeting the humanitarian needs of evacuees from offshore installations. In the event of personnel being evacuated from an offshore installation. The kit bags containing essential clothing and hygiene products are available on stand-by to all companies concerned for the welfare of their employees.

In Aberdeen, we store and maintain 240 Evacuation Kit bags. The evacuation kit bags will be made available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in Aberdeen. To members of the service and to companies that need them under mutual aid terms. We will aim to have the evacuation kit bags delivered in Aberdeen within 2 hours of receiving the request.

The contents of up to 80 evacuation kit bags will be replaced annually. This is to ensure that no items age will exceed three years. Replaced items will be donated to a charity agreed on by the members.

Evacuation Kit Bag costs

We invoice the subscribers a yearly fee for participation in the scheme and will invoice the subscribers a fixed fee per kit bag utilised, along with a call-out / delivery fee. The fee is fixed regardless of the time or day the call out is requested.

Non-subscribers can access the service at a higher cost.
